Add a Teacher, TA, Observer to a Course

You can add Teacher, TA or Observer users to any course.

For students, Infinite Campus will be the system of record for managing enrollments. Any changes to student enrollment should be done in Infinite Campus. Updates will be made nightly.


  • Click on Admin in the global navigation menu.
  • Click on your school account.
  • Search for the course that you want to add a user to.
  • Click on + (Add Users) icon
  • Choose Email Address or Login ID.
  • Enter the information into the field.
  • Choose Role (Teacher, TA, Observer).
  • Click Next.
  • Verify the user and then click Add Users.

  • When the user logs into Canvas, they will see an invitation to Accept the course.
