This article will explain how to join a Cisco Webex meeting as a student.
In Global Navigation, click Courses, then click the Cisco Webex link.
In the Virtual Meeting tab, you will see a list of any meetings, the date and time they are scheduled, their duration, who is hosting the meeting (who created the meeting), and the link to Join the meeting.
Download the Cisco WebEx Application: If this is your first time using WebEx on the computer you are using, you will be prompted to download the WebEx Meetings app. Click through the prompts to complete the download.
If you are unable to download the app, please use the link to Join from your browser. While using the browser version, you may not have access to full functionality but should be able to participate and engage in the virtual meeting.
Once the download is complete, or if you already have the WebEx app on your computer, you will go directly to a screen that prepares you to enter the meeting.
Join the Meeting: Before clicking Join Meeting, spend a moment to review the audio and video options available to you so you will have the best experience while in the meeting. Choose your audio connection, microphone setting, and whether you would like to use your webcam during the meeting.
Note:
Use Computer Audio option will use your computer's built-in microphone and speakers. (It is recommended to use a USB headset or earbuds w/mic if your laptop mic is low quality.)
Use Call In option will require you to use your mobile phone. After entering the meeting, you will be prompted with the Call-In details. Dial the phone number presented, then when prompted, enter your Access Code/Meeting Number followed by #, then enter your Attendee ID number followed by #. DO NOT SKIP entering in your unique attendee ID number.
Use Don't Connect to Audio option when you are in a room that already has an audio source in the same meeting you are about to join.
