Interactive Tools: Chat

Cisco Webex comes with a variety of interactive tools that can be used to check for understanding during your virtual classroom sessions. Utilizing the following tool during your virtual session will help keep your students engaged and provide you with valuable feedback to see if they are understanding the content that is being presented.

Have students answer questions in the chat area. TIP: When using the chat to check for understanding, instruct students not to press send until you say so.
To send a chat message, open the Chat panel from the link in the lower right of the meeting window.
In the To drop-down list, select the recipient of the message.
Enter your message in the chat text box, then press Enter on your keyboard.
